Our Cervical Screening Services

Our Cervical Screening Services

Routine Cervical Screening Tests: Available to all women in Australia aged 25 to 74, every five years for those at low risk. The test checks for human papillomavirus (HPV), the virus responsible for nearly all cervical cancers, and identifies abnormal cervical cells.

Self-Collection Option: For women who prefer not to undergo a conventional test, we also provide self-collection kits. Our GPs will guide you in choosing the most suitable option for your individual circumstances.

Personalised Support: Our team will take the time to answer your questions, explain your results, and provide clear advice on any next steps if further follow-up or referral is needed.

Continuity of Women’s Health Care: Beyond screening, we support women at every stage of life with comprehensive reproductive and general women’s health services.

How to Prepare for Your Visit

How to Prepare for Your Visit

To ensure your cervical screening is as smooth and comfortable as possible:

  • Time your visit when you are not menstruating.

  • Bring your last CST result if you have this information available.

  • Let us know if you are worried about the test or have had a previously negative experience—we will take extra care to support you.

  • If special measures were required at your previous test (e.g. smaller speculum, cushion under your pelvis), please tell us so we can make arrangements.

  • Empty your bladder before your consultation for greater comfort.

🌸 At Venus Women’s Clinic, we believe that early detection is key to prevention. Regular cervical screening is one of the most effective ways to prevent cervical cancer. Book your appointment today and take a proactive step towards protecting your health.
