Dr Amireh Fakhouri is a passionate General Practitioner and the Medical Director of Venus Women's Health, where she leads with a clear vision, to empower women through accessible, compassionate, and evidence-based healthcare.
With a strong foundation in women's health and reproductive medicine, Dr Fakhouri's career is defined by her dedication to improving health outcomes for women across all stages of life. Her experience includes serving as an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar at Bendigo Health, where she gained extensive expertise in antenatal care, contraception, fertility support, and women's wellbeing.
Dr Fakhouri holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Her postgraduate qualifications include:

She is also an Affiliate Lecturer at Deakin University (2023-2025) and a graduate of the Women in Healthcare Leadership Program at Monash University (2024), reflecting her commitment to developing future leaders in medicine and advocating for women in healthcare.
Her exceptional contribution to medicine has been recognised nationally, she is the recipient of both the Australian Medical Association's Doctor in Training of the Year Award and the RACGP Victorian Doctors in Training Award, honouring her leadership, advocacy, and excellence in the profession.
In 2024, Dr Fakhouri made national headlines as the lead plaintiff in a landmark class action on unpaid doctor overtime in NSW, securing a record $230 million settlement for over 20,000 doctors. This case drove widespread reform in hospital work culture and remains a defining moment in her advocacy for fairness and equity within the medical system.
As the driving force behind Venus Women's Health, Dr Fakhouri envisions the clinic as a centre of excellence dedicated to comprehensive women's healthcare, where medical expertise meets empathy, and every woman feels heard, respected, and supported. Her mission is to redefine the healthcare experience by placing women's wellbeing, education, and empowerment at its core.
Beyond the clinic, Dr Fakhouri serves on the boards of several not-for-profit organisations and is the Co-Founder of PCRF Australia, a humanitarian organisation supporting medical aid and relief efforts across the globe. Her commitment to service extends far beyond her practice, reflecting a lifelong dedication to community, compassion, and social impact.
Outside of medicine, Dr Fakhouri is a proud mother who loves camping, travelling, and spending time with family and friends. Her home is filled with laughter, and a few adorable pets including guinea pigs, quails, chicks, and chickens, adding warmth and joy to her everyday life.
